Alejandra & KemilaOur first Jazz Open Mic Night at UVA 69 was a tremendous success!

Alejandra and Kemila were the hosts for the event and they did an incredible job. Sinuhe, the club’s owner was very pleased with the event and he wants to have another one in the near future.

Some of the outstanding readers were Angelo Pizarro, Carlos Moro, Gabriel, Gil, Alejandra, and Kemila. We all enjoyed the music of Preston “Sweet Lips” Holas and his friends who entertained us with their unique jazz sound.

We hope to have another similar event next month and then at the Miami Book Fair in November.

The Miami Writers Association is proud to bring these types of events to inspire and motivate writers and poets.
