When you were homeless, I found you shelter.
When you were jobless, I found you work.
When you were lonely, I found you love.
And now that you no longer need, I am obsolete.
It hurts.
I made the mistake of expecting love, respect and kindness in return…
Instead you are scornful, hateful and snobbish.
You are still a stranger to yourself.
You still can’t see the truth.
I can’t give you this. I can’t teach you this.
I don’t have the desire nor the patience.
I am leaving now, so that we can both continue on our different, but equally adventurous paths without getting in each other’s way.
I wish you the best. Perhaps our paths will cross again.
